pieces of a pomegranate have stood the rains and storms of live. The fatter one is nearly giving up...but both are surrounded by light. I sprinkeled salt for effect, but always remember what JESUS SAID ABOUT THE SALT OF THE EARTH....this painting is supported by prayers from the the letter to the Hebrews chapter 12.
NO THORNS ONLY THISTLES: I USED SWISS BLUE BELLS,THAT WE PICKED LAST YEAR WHEN WE VISITED MY HUSBANDS MUM IN THE SWISS MOUNTAINS.THE PAINTING MADE ME THINK OF THE WELLKNOWN BOOK "HINDS FEET IN HIGH PLACES". THE BOOK WAS WRITTEN NOT FARE FROM WHERE WE PICKT THE FLOWERS.
THISTLES SYMBOLIZE THE PAIN AND HARDSHIPS OF LIFE THAT GOD CAN TURN INTO LASTING BEAUTY...SILVER THISTLES BECOME SO TOUGH THAT YOU CAN KEEP THEM FOR YEARS..AND THEY SPARKLE...LIKE MOTHER THERESA'S EYES!

i love the first picture. i love the way one leans on the other, the way they support each other. the color soothes me.
