DAVID WILKERSON MEMORIAL

All of us living here in beautiful East Texas owe so much to the man who had the vision to creat here a save haven that would reflect God's glory and peace. David Wilkerson! Just the day befor his sudden death I got the verse you can see on the painting from my Moravian scripture box :

"Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy."
Psalm 126:5

I said to my family; "Oh, this is David Wilkerson's verse!"
A few days ago i decided to do this memorial painting.
Since a long time i also wanted to do a memorial painting for a missionary who was killed for his faith.
.
I felt led to sprinkle GOLD over the red paint...a symbol of heaven.
The palm branch stands for HOSANNA. A shout that was always in their hearts and the triumphant entry of Christ's second coming.

It took me a while to find a picture where he was looking heaven wards. Also a symbol of beeing a visionary, a prophet, a seer and most important a friend of God - like Moses was.

A lot of rock salt is sprinkled here...again a symbol: "You are the salt of the world"
A reminder of David Wilkerson's great burden for the church, the bride of Jesus, not to lose our saltiness!
As I worked on David Wilkerson's canvas i got a second canvas out and paralled the two. The second one will be for a missionary who died much younger and his life was strangely conncted to David Wilkerson's live. I have not finished the second canvas . It has much more red paint...a symbol for the blood of Jesus and also them beeing willing to shed their blood for the gospel. The major of the city that the young missionary was murdered errected a memorial and it said:
GOD IS LOVE
...in French , English and Arabic. I cryed when i saw the photo of it.

It was David Wilkerson forsight to bild a damm in this area so that during the rainy season the water would collect and form this peaceful lake. We love the lake so much and are very greatful to David Wilkerson's creativity...
A week ago I started to read the book;"My time in heaven " by Richard Sigmund and I am amazed at how creative every one in heaven is. There is so much beauty and creativity going on. Of coarse we will be with the Ultimate Desiner of this entire universe.
I know brother Dave has a wondeful time in heaven!

CCF Art Project
THE GLORY OF GOD IS SHINING AROUND THEM

We would like to exhibit the children's canvases by December 24th during the candle light service on our “CCF Art Wall”.
Please pray with your child about the Holy Spirit's creative anointing before they start the project. Play some music that reflects God's Glory. For example Paul's “Glorious” or some of the IHOP music...or Handel's Messiah.
Make it a family project! You are your child's best champion!
This is a project that should express a lot of freedom, so we don't want to restricts the medium your child uses. All we ask is that the sides of the canvas are covered as well.
Here are some suggestions:
Acrylics, Watercolor, Oil, Beans&Beads, Fabric, Oil Crayons (use nail polish remover or thinner to dilute), Charcoal on left over Wall-Paint............the sky is the limit :)
Any surface that is not sealed, we will seal later with Crylon sealer (Walmart and Hobby Lobby)
Please sign your child's name in the lower right corner.
If it is a family project, please sign “Miller family”.
Read the following scriptures with your child – children:
GOSPEL OF LUKE
8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

The KEY VERSE is verse 9...how do you think the shepherds saw the “Glory of the Lord” shining around them??
I will try to post some paintings on the Glory of the Lord on my web....show it to child only after they close their eyes and try to imaging...or don't show it at all:)

After working 3 years on and off on the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT i finally finished the series and carefully manufactured ceramic tiles are now in the museum store in the museum of Biblical Arts in Dallas.
Let me know if redecorate your kitchen or dinning room.
My prayer is that many people, families and single will be challenged to study and long for the Fruit of the Spirit in their lives. I did not feel like signing GOODNESS...the 2nd last one to complete. ...because none of us is really good. Today i added the famous question of the rich young ruler asking Jesus what to do. And Jesus said:"Why do you ask me about what is good.....There is only One who is good." Matthew 19:17
I love to hear from all you what the different fruit of the Spirit mean to you.

We had so much fun praying with colour and every one was amazed when we opened the scafs ironed them and looked at a whirlwind a hibiscus a sunflower...We marveld at Gods kindness giving just a little spark of His amazing and masterfull creativity. ART FOR THE BRIDE LOGO
This painting developed very quick during a worship session at the burn. The worship leader sang his composition of "Hallelujah"... I "saw" the arch very clearly, painted it hesitantly because of its strong Gothic style. But i believe it is a symbol of the Bridegroom waiting throughout the millenniums for the bride. Suffering through the church history's ups and downs... He is waiting for her to come close to Him, to look straight into His eyes, and to feel the covering of His mantel. Also to know that He shed his blood for you, and that HE alone is the true King of this earth, galaxy, and universe. He will come back for his bride. "THE SPIRIT AND THE BRIDE SAY 'COME' AND LET HIM WHO HEARS SAY 'COME!' WHOEVER IS THIRSTY LET HIM COME, AND WHOEVER WISHES, LET HIM TAKE THE FREE GIFT OF THE THE WATER OF LIFE." Revelations 22:17

This picture was taken at 2 am in the morning...worked nearly all night to finish it for the PARABLES EXHIBITION in Dallas..SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO JUST STICK WITH A PAINTING FOR HOURS ..SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO STOP AND RELAX. i DON'T ALWAYS KNOW WHAT THE RIGHT THING IS...BUT I KNOW AS I WAS PAINTING DEEP INTO THE NIGHT, I FELT CLOSER AND CLOSE TO THE HEART BEAT OF THE FATHER...THE HEART BEAT OF JESUS, AND ALSO FEELING SO SAFE AND PEACEFUL AT HIS CHEST.
My new friend Noreen from the Vineyard Tyler just texted me a scripture that she felt goes so well with the painting: "May the beloved of the Lord dwell in security by Him. Who shields him all day, and he dwells between his shoulders." Deuteronomy 33:12

This a real King James Bible from approx 1650.
It is opened on Psalm 23 and Psalm 27:4... "To gaze upon the beauty of the Lord." That is what i try to communicate with nearly all of my paintings. Let me know if you have any other ideas.

This is the finished silk painting of a "glimpse of heaven"...I chose this picture with the children in the background..laughing so freely, because Jesus said "Unless you become like little children you cannot see the kingdom of God"...Like a baby who should not doubt the love of his mum and dad!
Here you see the painting "IN HIS ARMS OF LOVE" many hours later...I really agonised over the hands...tried not to make the prodigal son look so prodigal...because it is always you and me.
Signed on purpose onto the coat (with blood) of the prodigal son-daughter.
In the original you'll see the colors in the upper right corner better...all heaven sings...could not paint the angels in this one...the light flooding the dark soul of the son or daughter....on the coat of the father is written I LOVE I LOVE YOU...it is very cryptic....you can barely read it . Purposely blinded it a bid because we are often so blind to His amazing unconditional love

During worship at the CCF womans retreat at Pinecove I "saw" the picture of us beeing so close to his heart...I asked my friend Beth hasz to pray that I could paint this.....hands are always hard. Here using a gold pen and writing ALPHA and OMEGA on the father's mantel. I purposly mixed the immage of the father and the son....Jesus said if you see me you see the father!

This painting we did last year at the same retreat...my friend Patty composed a song called BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER....here we give it to LAdy P. Patience...before her departure to West Africa...the Keys and the baby in the womb are sybols for our destiny in Psalm 139...A psalm we prayed over all of our 4 kids before they were born....

Our sweet exchange student Hyuna (Elle) from Korea is teaching me how to make soushi!
I changed the recepie a little...so that my friend Beth who is on a strickter anti-cancer diet could eat them too. We used brown rice, fresh vegies and curry pouder - no rice vinager . Don't they look yummy? I think if i can be creative with the food and use so many diffrent colors it is like painting. The focus is not so much of what we cannot eat but rather on the fresh colours and tast of what we are allowed to eat. If you have any special recepies - please e-mail them. Specially if they make our body system more alkaline.
May be i should paint those veggies that are so good for us. Am also experimenting with the ROSMARY bush in our drive way...an herb i was not to keen on, but it's oils have powerful healing propperties. Any one knows a lot about this?
But for now i am very excited to go to Rome and meet Dr. Simoncini a cancer specialist with alternative methodes, no chemo and really good results. After I will be in Switzerland to do all my blood tests and check ups...don't really feel sick with all the carrot juice i am drinking. Thank you all so much for your prayers interestings books and suggestions...all very helpful. The fall colors are amazing for the soul and I don't feel really like travelling , but am excited about this Rome connection that just surfaced. I will also connect with Hansruedi's family there. We used to see each other in Switzerland in the summer holidays, but we never made it "down south to Roma". I will be in Switzerland November 17 to 27. My sis's number is 001-41-44-915 01 19 my us cell is working text only 903-520 2879. God is so good...it seams that he is turning something bad into so many unexpected blessings!

So many diffrent artists...with extreemly diffrent world views...and it shows so much in what we paint. But it was good to communicate with eachother. I just finished the FETUS painting 2 hours before the art show started...the painting was easy...the baby appeared with out me planning it when i applied the salt...and later i saw the nail prints in his feet and hands ..so i made them a little stronger...someone who looked at the painting during the exhibition told me that she saw a tear drop. whow...i had a good talk with a very young girl about my faith and belive that life starts at conception!

He was killed at a young age...many would think before his time...1927-1956. He died at 29...his young widow Elisabeth carried our his mission. It is worth to google Elisabeth Elliot.
This angel is inspired by Fra Angeliso who lived 500 years ago:) We think we are so important and knowlegebal..our truth rocks...but just reading a biographie of Leonardo ...they had exactly the same struggles and revelations as we have today. May be a little diffrent lifestiles?

Just finished this pineapple painting yesterday for an art exhibit in our downtown with lots of young people...some older ones like me too:) Would realy like to finish the series on the fruits of the spirit..write about the impact of the spiritual fruits to our health and and and than the helth benefits from eating fresh fruits...The vitamines, the enzimes etc.
Paul Baloch gave me his i-pod today...not with worship music but an intresting messsage for cancer patients. The peace with-in is so important. Only you Jesus can give peace and TRUE JOY that last through the valleys till we see you face to face!

This is the cake that was waiting for me when i came home with my pathology results...i put the plate on an antique Bible illustrated by Julius Schnorr. It has the Holy Spirit dove and also a heart shape but it is made of a crown of thorns...should really take a separate picture. Out of the crown of thorns grow inticate passion flowers. Still waiting on my passionflowers to appear...struggled all year to save the plant. I have nice green leaves now. Thanks to the rain we got! There is deep symbolisme in all this...and strenght.
Today i was chasing this butterfly...he is a little injured but still very beautiful and active...will try to paint him on my tulip painting. Am so greatful for all the uplifting immages that come in my mind and glad I was in the habit of feeding my spirit and mind with those immages long before the diagnoses.

YOUR LOVING KINDNESS

Well, today is a special day...not a day to celebrate...or may be yes? NO! YES, i will celebrate the Lords kindness to me trough so many years and people. My daughter Mariana had this beautiful heart cake backed on a plate when i came home from one of my most difficult doctor appointments. It did not say: welcome to the circle of cancer patients....Just MUM...At this point i still do hate the word cancer...I had to read my "pathology report" over and over.....and eventhough the nurse read me the thing over the phone 10 days ago there is this secret thought that it is all a missunderstanding. But anyhow it is nearly midnight and my artsy friend Jorden visited and we were talking about the human heart. Suddenly I had this picture popping up in my head: the human heart is like jellow...if the Lord does not poor it into a strong jellow mold or pan...fancy shape?...it will just spill over in all wrong directions.
It was acctualy good getting so many calls today...Dan from Switzerland, sis, Karen, Frank Dr. Tim from California - explaining all the fancy pathology words. Before this i didn't even understand the proper translation of Lymphoma!
So this is the next painting i would like to do about the human heart...the ones below are more how the Holy Spirit guards and influences our hearts....penetrates it with his light. So half of me is truely soaring in the spirit realm and the other is worring a bit if I will not be able to eat Swiss chocolate anymore, no toast, no cappuccino, no meat ...thank you God that I love carrot juice...but it is a real spiritual fast to drink that that beautiful orange color stuff all day long. I'll crave pizza in the evening. Should i switch to lentils with tofu? Anyhow am tired now and can only think of the song YOUR LOVING KINDNESS IS BETTER THAN LIVE. I learned it over 30 years ago....still love the melody. I see myself doing cart wheals :)

POMEGRANATES: Two individual pieces and yet, they are one. A symbol of love and holiness. Those two pieces of a pomegranate have stood the rains and storms of live. The fatter one is nearly giving up...but both are surrounded by light. I sprinkeled salt for effect, but always remember what JESUS SAID ABOUT THE SALT OF THE EARTH....this painting is supported by prayers from the the letter to the Hebrews chapter 12.
NO THORNS ONLY THISTLES: I USED SWISS BLUE BELLS,THAT WE PICKED LAST YEAR WHEN WE VISITED MY HUSBANDS MUM IN THE SWISS MOUNTAINS.
THE PAINTING MADE ME THINK OF THE WELLKNOWN BOOK "HINDS FEET IN HIGH PLACES". THE BOOK WAS WRITTEN NOT FARE FROM WHERE WE PICKT THE FLOWERS.
THISTLES SYMBOLIZE THE PAIN AND HARDSHIPS OF LIFE THAT GOD CAN TURN INTO LASTING BEAUTY...SILVER THISTLES BECOME SO TOUGH THAT YOU CAN KEEP THEM FOR YEARS..AND THEY SPARKLE...LIKE MOTHER THERESA'S EYES!

Sometimes it really helps to paint a picture to express a prayer or just an impression in prayer.This one shows a yearning to be full of the Holy Spirit yet knowing well our humanes and the million images we are bombarded with day in and out....
This is just a quick journal entry during a time one of my precious friends made the transition earlier than we all expected...officially she died. I drew this in Switzerland while she was relieved from a severe illness. We talked on the phone a few hours earlier.

This painting was done spontaneously during the ESTHER CONFERENCE in DENVER spring of 2007.
I am deeply greatful to the artists of New Life Church in Colorado Springs who handed me their huge paintbrush loaded with red paint and encouraged me to continue with what my mother tought me over 40 years ago....whow, grandma sha-sha is not a teenager anymore :)
This painting is dedicated to Aaron Frueh and Laura Harver who tuly are able to jump the walls of racism, denominationalisem and the clift between people that occurs when we forget the high price HE paid to tear down the curtain in two pieces...making way for us to worship in freedom.

With those paintings I try to inspire my children, friends and people I never met to think about live on this planet and eternity.....for example the African painting is titeled STAR OF BETHLEHEM. The juror at the local art show thought it was a strange titel :) Later I explained to her that those children who's dad probably died of aids invite us to visit them, lighten the burden of the mother and remeber that Jesus who was born in a smelly cattle cribb is watching over them...with earthly and eternal comfort.
